Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a security guard who police said was shot dead during a robbery in a game room southeast of Houston.

Jomar Crawford, 22, is charged with premeditated murder after he shot 33-year-old Jesus Rodriguez.

On February 12, at about 1 a.m., Houston Police Department officers said they responded to a shooting in a game room at 6333 Long Drive.

Police said Rodriguez was found shot and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Court documents indicate that Crawford was trying to rob the victim when the shooting occurred.
